Frisco Newborn Photographer | Nora's Lifestyle Newborn Session

There are certain times in my life when I've known, without a doubt, that I was making the right choice. You know those moments. The ones where you feel like the angles are there cheering you on, all applauding because you were finally able to figure it out! Two of these moments for me are when I decided to go on a Christian mission, and when I married the dashing Mr. Truman. And while those are my two biggest "angels singing-heaven applauding-Aha!" moments, deciding to be a teacher would have to be my third.

Now, before you start thinking that I'm conversing with angels on a daily basis, let me just say that very, VERY rarely do I feel like I'm being cheered on by heavenly hostess! I can probably list on one hand the amount of times I've felt that kind of confirmation about my life choices. So the fact that I felt that way about teaching says a lot! Having since graduated with a degree in teaching, and having spent time in the classroom, I can confidently say that the heavens were right! Working with kids in an education setting fills a place in my heart and soul in a way that nothing else does. Which is why getting to spend time with Nora's mom, Megan, who also felt called to teach, was so special for me!

While I've never been to comic-con, I can now see how gathering with so many passionate people about a shared interest would be so appealing! While Megan and I weren't dressed up in some stunning teaching costumes, we definitely were able to bond over our passion for education and working with little ones! Hearing Megan talk about how much she loved and cared for her students, showed me just how lucky her sweet baby Nora was to be her daughter. I can already tell there will be a lot of learning and love that will take place in their home! And after all, isn't motherhood the highest, holiest form of teaching?
